Background

ANWE NSW was established before the incorporation of the Australian National Working Equitation Limited (ANWE) in March 2016, serving as the national body for the sport of working equitation in Australia. Notably, ANWE NSW was the first state to become affiliated with ANWE. In August 2016, ANWE was appointed by the World Association of Working Equitation (WAWE) as the official accredited agent for promoting working equitation in Australia. Since then, the sport of working equitation has seen significant growth in New South Wales, with over 22 affiliated clubs listed on our website. The sport continues to expand in NSW, with more clubs joining each year, especially as we look forward to the upcoming state championships.

Objectives

Our objectives as outlined in our Constitution are: To promote, facilitate, assist, and implement the development of working equitation in NSW under the auspices of ANWE NSW; To provide a suitable environment where working equitation competitors and their horses can thrive; To encourage harmony between horse and rider; To foster a sportsperson-like attitude among competitors in the sport of Australian National Working Equitation; and To elevate the standards of working equitation, its judges, and officials, enabling riders and officials to compete on the world stage at prestigious events such as the World and European Championships, including our state championships.
